How you can configure multiport serial card inside a system running on Fedora core5 for hooking up text devices?
I bought a 2 port serial card, make T-link from market. I must attach two text devices through this serial card. Can someone assist me to on 'configuring this two port serial card in Fedora core 5 operating-system.
first, may be the card suitable for Linux? Many aren't.
second, made it happen include Linux motorists? Otherwise, could they be offered by the manufcturer website?
Does your Fedora "find" the credit card if this boots?
When the response to 1, 2, and three isn't any, then you would need to write your personal motorists or find some somewhere.
When the response to 1, 2 isn't any and three is absolutely, then fedora has got the motorists, but you still need "being able to access" programming to manage the input/creation of the devices with the ports.
You may have the ability to find some, or write your personal. (note: terminal programs can be found, but many "more recent" programing uses "split" input/output for video out and keyboard in as well as are equipped for PS2 or USB input ports and VGA/DVI output ports, instead of text devices.
(You could try some older "teletype" programs or any other terminal programs for Unix devices however i doubt you will find any suitable for the fedora core 5 A linux systemunix.)
