HL 1850 Printer Toner Cartridge Is A Laser At A Bargain
The Brother HL 1850 printer toner is cost effective and has made it easier for small and home offices to own a high quality laser printer. This brother printer is cheap but it is also very fast it's speed rivals many of those high end printers in the market. The printer has almost endless expandability which means that it can be adapted to the requirements of most offices. However we feel that the printer should have a larger paper capacity.
This printer has made it possible for office managers to just dump their old printer and get a new one. The affordable workgroup features are enough reason to dump your old one for this shiny new printer. We liked the fact that the printer worked straight out of the box without extensive configuration.
The well illustrated guide that accompanies the printer makes installation of the Brother HL 1850 Cartridge quick and hassle free. The printer can connect either via USB ports or via sans cable which ships with the unit. The front panel of the printer has a three color LCD which makes read outs clear as well as four buttons that allow you to choose and change paper and perform many other operations.
The electronic user guide in PDF format does a good job of explaining all the features and includes all the troubleshooting and maintenance procedures required to run the printer at its optimum. If you want to make your printer a part of your local network all you need to do is to use the built-in-Ethernet and add an extra 16MB of ram since the unit come pre-bundled with 16 MB of ram.
There are a few disappointments with the paper handling of this printer. One of the biggest is probably its paper capacity. The printer is only equipped to handle around 350 sheets of standard paper. It has one built-in 250 sheet tray and another 100 sheet tray. Although for two hundred dollars you can purchase another 250 sheet tray that will increase the over all capacity of the printer to 600 sheets. This is still not enough when you compare it to other printers which can hold a thousand plus sheets of paper.
One of the good things about this printer is the built in duplexer which is very fast and requires no intervention. The drivers that you install give you an option of either rotating the paper to the left or to the bottom edge. The preset settings will allow you to pick and adjust your laser printer for settings such as paper size and print quality.
Each of the taps includes a reset button that enables you to bring everything back to its default setting. However the driver lacks a button to globally restore defaults through out the printer.
This printer does an excellent job of text printing as well as graphics. The HL 1850 Toner Cartridge is spacious enough and lasts a long time.

$3,000, and if you have to ask how much the NVIDIA Quadro graphics option
costs then you're probably better off with something like this.
