Brother HL 1850 Toner With Blazing Fast Speeds
The Brother HL 1850 Cartridge is cost effective and has made it easier for small and home offices to own a high quality laser printer. This brother printer is cheap but it is also very fast it's speed rivals many of those high end printers in the market. The printer has almost endless expandability which means that it can be adapted to the requirements of most offices. However we feel that the printer should have a larger paper capacity.
This printer is so cost effective that managers don't need to think twice before they replace their tired old printer. The workgroup features built into this printer is good enough reason to kick out your old printer for this new one. This printer works out of the box with no hassle which is a big plus.
The printer is accompanied with a well illustrated quick setup guide that makes installing the HL 1850 Printer Toner Cartridge a simple task. The printer can be connected to the computer either via its USB ports or the provided sans cable. On the front panel of the unit is a basic three color display which gives you clear read outs. It also has four buttons that allows for you to change the paper and perform other advanced operations.
The CD Rom that comes along with the printer has a detailed user guide in.PDF document. This guide makes it easy for you to set things up and perform regular maintains. The built-in Ethernet adapter can be used to make the printer a member of you local network. An extra set of 16MB memory can be added to increase the ram to 32 MB.
Now the HL's paper handling has its ups and its downs. One disappointment is the printer's paper capacity. The printer can just hold around 350 sheets of paper because it has one 250 sheet tray and one 100 sheet tray. For another two hundred bucks you can purchase another 250 sheet stray bringing your over all capacity to 600 sheets. However its still not enough as compared to the other printers that can hold over a thousand sheets of paper.
The thing we like about this printer is its built in duplexer which is fast and furious. The duplexer works with almost no human intervention. The driver you install gives you an option to either flip the paper to its left or to the right or even to the bottom edge. The default settings allow for you to set your printer up for things such as paper type and size including print quality.
Each of the taps has a reset button which enables you to reset everything back to its factory setting. However the printer's driver does not have a button to restore defaults through out the printer. Every tap on the printer's menu has a reset button which makes it possible to undo any changes and bring things back to where they were. However there isn't a universal default setting that resets the whole printer to its default settings. The printer can print at up to 19 PPS or pages per second which is really fast for a printer of its class.
This printer does an excellent job of text printing as well as graphics. The Brother HL 1850 Toner is spacious enough and lasts a long time.

Cisco unveils Linksys HomePlug AV Powerline solutions, converts outlets into network connection points (Engadget)
Looking to boost network range in remote areas of your humble abode? Cisco is
now offering an option that turns your electrical outlets into wired network
connections with speeds up to 200Mbps. Each Linksys HomePlug AV Powerline
option includes an Ethernet adapter that connects to your router and a second
adapter for your wired devices elsewhere -- both of which are plugged into
sockets of your choosing to get things started. The Powerline then uses your
home's electrical wiring for the system, saving the headache of hiding cables
for that home office. The company says that the kit will play nice with _most_
household appliances and 1-port and 4-port adapters are available now for $100
each. Want to connect sans wires? A Powerline 1-port Wireless Extender is
coming in March that will create a WiFi signal for the HomePlug system.
Hopefully wandering peepers won't be able to monitor activity remotely.
Fingers crossed.
