Can i cross wire two slightly different LVDS cables?
I installed a different panel in my SONY KDL-40V5500 as the original screen had cracked. The new panel I scored cheap from a KDL-40J3000 TV.
It all fits fine. All except the LVDS cable into the T-conn board. The t-conn board takes a smaller 28mm input whereas the the I/O boards cable is about 34 mm. (The ribbon cables at back of t-conn dont match either so i can't just swap it)
Have been looking for service manuals for both tvs to find pinouts but have been unsuccessful. Is there anywhere i could get pinouts for the LVDS cables? Can i wire one to another? could i fix this possibly with a different T-Conn board that takes the 34mm LVDS but still outputs to the 45mm or so ribbon cables at the back?
