Essential Accessories For The Motorola Droid Pro

You’ve been hearing the rumors for months, and now we finally have confirmation that the Motorola Droid Pro will be on store shelves in November just in time for Christmas. In case you haven’t heard, this 1.3 GHz beast includes a gorgeous 4-inch display along with global roaming capability. If the whispers and early previews are true, then we’re looking at a game-changer that is going to transform this market. Perhaps the best indication that this is true is the behavior of ancillary companies who are already hard at work getting their Motorola Droid Pro accessories to market first and well before the Pro launch. Not to be left behind, here’s an early look at the must-have Motorola Droid Pro accessories.

The first order of business is getting a feature-rich desktop charger and a super-convenient travel charger for your Motorola Droid Pro. The simple included USB charge is functional but not versatile enough. It seems very likely that chargers compatible with the older droid series can also be utilized to charge the Droid Pro. In other words, if you already have a desktop and travel charger for your Droid, chances are they’ll work for the Pro. If not, then you will want to look at the Siedio desktop cradle, which connects to the wall and to the unit via the included USB cable. It can also act as a docking cradle to provide a comfortable viewing angle of the Droid Pro. For those on the go, simply buying a USB-to-AC adapter and a USB to car lighter adapter would be our choice.

The next step will be choosing from among all of those Motorola Droid Pro cases that are already on the market. Our top recommendation for a case would be the popular Body Glove series. Generally priced at $30 or less, this is an absolute steal. The reason we like it so much is that it’s the perfect balance between looks and protection, while most cases only manage to do one or the other. With a versatile belt clip, this body glove case also has a kickstand that can provide a convenient viewng angle of the Motorola Droid Pro.

Among Motorola Droid Pro screen protectors, we choose ZAGG’s Invisible Shield, which has been our protector of choice for all Droids thus far. If you’re not familiar, Invisible Shield is a durable scratch-free protector which its original purpose was to protect helicopter blades for the U.S. military. In our tests, we've come to the conclusion that it's very hard to scratch the surface of the Invisible Shield protector. At places well below other cases, this one’s too good to pass up.

Well, there you have it, an early look at the must-have Droid Pro accessories. It would be a good to idea to invest in accessories to enhance your future experience with the Droid Pro. For other types of accessories, we’d be less sure of that since the early word is that there are some new and innovative accessories for the Droid Pro on the horizon.

Zoom lens vs wide angle adapter?

I'm interested in buying the Tamron 18-270mm lens for my Nikon, as well as Wide Angle & Macro Lens Adapter (http://photojojo.com/store/awesomeness/wide-angle-macro-lens/

My question is, does it make sense to buy both or should I just stick with the Tamron?
I've heard that it contains a wide angle already because of the large zoom range, so does the Tamron already provide a wide angle view at 18mm?

Firstly what do you shoot most?
For me I would buy a 18-35mm and a 80-200mm
Get the best quality lenses you can afford. Do not get a 18-270mm the quality is not good. Its almost impossible to get good image quality from a lense which cover such a huge range in focal lengths.
Also macro adaptors usually worsen the image quality. Pick a good wide angle zoom and a good telephoto zoom you wont regret it...
